In December 1999, Observer IT Solutions Limited undertook project
management contract for the Royal bank of Scotland. In this one year VLOB
project for RBS, Observer IT was responsible for packaging of software
applications using NOVELL ZEN Works, Wise Studio 3, Wise for windows installer
version 8.0 from NOVELL 5/NT4 to Windows 2000, Tools used include WinInstall,
WISE for Windows Installer 8.0, CA Unicentre and Orca. Strong NT skills, down to
registry level, kix
scripting and batch files and experience of editing MSI files using Orca file
editor were key factors of this project.
Project lasted 10 months and 180
application packages were planned, tested and deployed during this time scale.
Royal Bank of Scotland. was working to STDE standards. CA Unicentre TNG Design
and deployment of software packages into Citrix & NT/2000 Environment.
The project
also involved testing financial software applications under Windows NT. Windows
2000 and Responsible for supporting Investment Management/ Trading floor Desktop
and Server. Support and trouble shooting users, Bloomberg and Reuters support
specialist. Sira Portfolio Analyser, Bloomberg, Reuters, Bridge, Datastream,
Factset, Barras Portfolio, and Trading software, Lotus notes 5.5. Installation
and configuration of market data applications including packaging. |
