Salim
Khan has been
in IT for over 17 years. On behalf of the company, he is an Executive
Project Manager within IGS Strategic Outsourcing, specializing in the
transition of new accounts to IBM. He has gained experience with client in
Banking, Insurance and Travel, implementing both technology projects and
staff related projects, as Observer IT Solutions takes on new services
within the contracts. Salim has also worked as a Service Delivery Manager,
ITS Account Manager and Support Specialist. He has specialized in XP
rollouts and has successfully delivered two major XP roll outs at JP Morgan
Chase and the British Council. The largest project being the British
Council, being 10,000 desk tops, 1500 servers, including 300 MS Exchange
Servers.
The British Council implementation was rolled out to all five continents
and 109 separate countries and was delivered on time and to budget. These
projects have been complemented by three other critical PC upgrades whether
they are NT, Novell to NT or Windows 2000. When project managing teams of up
to 30, Salim has been responsible for preparing and delivering project proof
of concepts, extensive end user consultation, documentation, arranging and
chairing meetings and keeping all stakeholders informed formally and
informally of progress. Salim has worked for end clients who have extended
his contract and hence has given him tenure of over three years, for example
at the British Council.
He is very keen to introduce telecom consultancy services within Observer IT
Solutions Limited.
